Transfer & Delivery Hub

The #1 source of panic for fans. Here is why your tickets aren't there and why the transfer button is grey.

The Anatomy of a Modern Ticket

Gone are the days of PDF printouts. Modern tickets use Rotating Barcode Technology to combat fraud.

What is a Rotating Barcode?

It is a QR code that automatically refreshes every 15-60 seconds. This means a static screenshot taken at 2:00 PM will be invalid by the time you reach the gate at 7:00 PM.

CRITICAL: You MUST use the official app (Ticketmaster, AXS, etc.) or your phone's digital wallet (Apple Wallet/Google Pay) for entry.

How to Accept a Transfer

Stop bouncing around the internet. Here is the step-by-step guide for every major platform.

The Gold Standard

When you accept, you get a new barcode. The sender's barcode becomes invalid instantly. This is their core anti-fraud mechanism.

1

Open the transfer email or link sent to you.

2

Sign in to the correct Ticketmaster account (must match the email used for transfer).

3

Confirm tickets appear in "My Tickets". (Don't panic if barcodes aren't visible yet—that's normal for delayed events.)

Transfer Not Working?

  • Turn off VPN or Private Relay
  • Don't use multiple tabs or devices simultaneously
  • Clear cookies/cache
  • Still failing? Ask the sender to cancel and re-send.

Why is the Transfer Button Grey?

1. The Delivery Delay

Most Common Reason: The event organizer (artist/team) has locked transfers until closer to the show.

Typical Release: 24-72 hours before showtime.
Action: Check the "Event Info" page on Ticketmaster for the specific delay policy.

2. Organizer Controls

The Hard Truth: Ticketmaster only allows transfers when the event organizer or team enables them.

If it's grey: The tickets are currently non-transferable. Repeatedly clicking or refreshing won't help. You must contact the organizer directly or wait for the window to open.

3. Payment Issues

If you are on a payment plan or your card was declined for the final installment, transfers are locked.

Action: Check your "Billing" tab for any outstanding balances or alerts.

4. IT/Browser Glitches

Sometimes it's just a bad cache.

Action: Try the mobile app instead of the website (or vice versa). Clear your browser cache.

When to Worry About Late Tickets

Sellers often wait until tickets are released by the venue, which may be as late as 24 hours before the event. This is stressful but normal.

The "Safe Zone"

Up to 24 Hours Before Event

If your order says "Delivery by [Date]", and that date hasn't passed, you are generally safe. Most transfers happen in this window.

The "Panic Button"

10:00 AM Day of Event

If tickets haven't arrived by 10 AM on the day of the event, contact the marketplace's customer support immediately with your order details.
